  • My Top DIY Beauty Secret For Clearing Acne!

My Top DIY Beauty Secret For Clearing Acne
Look no further than Epsom Salt. Yes I know, it seems bizarre but Epsom salts are actually one of the best-kept beauty secrets when it comes to clear skin! The best part is, it’s beauty on a budget. You can pick up Epsom salt at your local supermarket or pharmacy for under $5.

    What is Epsom Salt?

Epsom salts, is not actually salt but a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. It has been known to be a natural remedy for a number of ailments and has numerous health benefits. Magnesium helps to reduce inflammation and aids muscle function, which is why Epsom salt is used in a hot bath. Sulfates help to improve nutrient absorption, flush toxins and ease headaches.

How to use Epsom Salt in your beauty regime

     The process is very simple.

    You will need:

    • 1 tbsp Epsom Salt
    • Daily cleanser

    1. Mix 1tbsp of Epsom Salts with your daily cleanser in your hands or a small container.
    2. Apply the solution to your face and cleanse as normal.
    3. Rinse well

Note: You may find the Epsom Salt dissolve as you gently massage the cleanser into your skin – this is normal.

I do this morning and night and I find it prevents breakouts and also helps to heal any active spots. If you are finding that this is too drying for your skin, reduce to 2-3 times per week or whatever feels best for your skin. Everyone is different.

Make sure you are using a good hydrating moisturiser, serum or oil afterwards to rehydrate your skin. I use Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil and follow with a natural facial serum.

Let me know your experiences with this favourite beauty tip of mine!
